COREMAKING CAPABILITIES

Laempe LL-10 CoreCenter ... view photo
The Laempe LL-10 CoreCenter is a fully automated, PLC controlled core machine equipped with a PC operator interface. It uses an amine gas to activate the core binder in as little as 2 seconds. This allows for high production rates, up to 160 cycles per hour. The LL-10 shoots up to 10 litres (about 35 pounds) of sand into a corebox in a single shot, and can be configured to double shoot a corebox for larger cores. The maximum corebox dimensions for the LL-10 are about 27" x 19" x 19". Existing coreboxes made of wood, plastic, aluminum or iron can be readily adapted to run on the LL-10.

Laempe LB-25 CoreCenter ... view photos
The Laempe LB-25 is Laempe's newest version of their popular CoreCenter line of automated core machines. It is a complete system, supplied with computer and PLC controls, sand mixer, gas generator and core machine. The LB-25 shoots up to 75 pounds (25 litres) of sand at a time, and can be configured for multiple shooting to produce cores in excess of 200 pounds. Typical cycle times range from 45 seconds to 3 minutes, yielding production of more than 3 tons of cores per hour. The machine can utilize coreboxes that are horizontally parted, vertically parted, or in combination and up to 6 pieces. The maximum corebox dimensions for the LB-25 are approximately 31" x 31" x 23". Like the LL-10, the LB-25 can use existing coreboxes made of wood, plastic, aluminum or iron.

Cooper Chapman Twin Station Shell Core Blowers Model CVAG 1015... view photo
Two Cooper Chapman Twin Station Shell Core Blowers provide four work stations for production of smaller shell cores. Pneumatic sand investment facilitates relatively low cycle times (as low as 10 seconds) for cores requiring a smooth surface finish. Use of cast iron or ductile iron for coreboxes provides excellent durability in sizes up to 14" x 10" x8".

Cooper Chapman Shell Core Blower Model Ultimatic CAG 2226... view photo
The Cooper Chapman Ultimatic Shell Core Blower provides pneumatically assisted, gravity investment for mid-size shell cores, providing excellent surface finish and cycle times as low as 30 seconds. The large heating plates provide even heat distribution across cast iron, ductile iron or aluminum core boxes up to 24" x 20" x 24".

Sandmaster No Bake Mixer Model 100... view photo
The SandMaster No Bake Core System can accomodate almost any corebox size (demonstrated capabilities at Lethbridge Iron Works have surpassed 400 lbs.). Experienced no bake core makers can handle virtually any corebox design handed to them. The flexibilty to use aluminum, wood or plastic coreboxes, coupled with the capability to make complex cores makes this a very versatile option.
