Current Lead Times

Current lead time requirements for non value added castings varies based on mold size (if you are uncertain about the mold size for a particular casting, please contact Mel Collier):

As noted above, should your castings require painting, austempering, machining or further added value, please add the allotted time, as follows, to the above casting deliveries:

Please note our summer maintenance shutdown is currently scheduled for 3 weeks from July 5 to July 27 inclusive. During this period we will be conducting major maintenance and upgrades to better serve you in the future.

Any castings required between July 7 and July 25 should be placed on order by April 28 at the latest.

Please note that any casting requirements having valued-added machining, painting, or heat-treating requirements can add up to 4 additional weeks to the above order date.

We are extremely busy and are adding additional production shifts to control and hopefully reduce our lead times.

A scrap steel surcharge has been implemented for Ductile Iron, Cast Iron, and ADI castings effective May 1, 2008. The scrap steel surcharge for May 2008 is $0.11/lb (Cdn) or $0.11/lb (U.S.).

Effective May 1, 2008, Hi Chrome YC castings will have a Chrome Alloy surcharge at $0.55/lb (Cdn) or $0.55/lb (U.S.).

Effective January 1, 2008, Hi-Chrome YC castings will have a Chrome Alloy surcharge at $0.40/lb (Cdn) or $0.40/lb (U.S.).

Effective October 1, 2007, Hi-Chrome YC castings will have a Chrome Alloy surcharge at $0.36/lb (Cdn) or $0.36/lb (U.S.).

Effective August 1, 2007, Hi-Chrome YC castings will have a Chrome Alloy surcharge at $0.36/lb (Cdn) or $0.32/lb (U.S.).

Effective January 1, 2007, the scrap steel surcharge will be incorporated into casting pricing. Hi-Chrome YC castings will continue to have a Chrome Alloy surcharge at $0.26/lb (Cdn) or $0.24/lb (U.S.).

The scrap steel surcharge for December 2006 is $0.11/lb (Cdn) or $0.10/lb (U.S.). The Chrome Alloy surcharge is $0.26/lb (Cdn) or $0.24/lb (U.S.).

The scrap steel surcharge for November 2006 is $0.12/lb (Cdn) or $0.11/lb (U.S.). The Chrome Alloy surcharge is $0.26/lb (Cdn) or $0.24/lb (U.S.).

The scrap steel surcharge for October 2006 is $0.120/lb (Cdn) or $0.11/lb (U.S.). The Chrome Alloy surcharge is $0.26/lb (Cdn) or $0.24/lb (U.S.).

The scrap steel surcharge for September 2006 is $0.120/lb (Cdn) or $0.11/lb (U.S.). The Chrome Alloy surcharge is $0.26/lb (Cdn) or $0.24/lb (U.S.).

The scrap steel surcharge for August 2006 is $0.130/lb (Cdn) or $0.117/lb (U.S.). The Chrome Alloy surcharge is $0.26/lb (Cdn) or $0.24/lb (U.S.).
